Site and Roleplay Rules Empty Site and Roleplay Rules

These are a work in progress and can change at any point in time, you've been warned. Heh, geddit? Because these are the rules? warned. Nothing? Tough crowd.

--User Rules--

Obey all of the terms and services you have agreed to when you made your account. You clicked the little 'I accept' button, and you wouldn't lie, would you? Among other things, it bans the posting of illegal materials, sexual materials, and very excessive language.

You should maintain one account and one account only. Exceptions can be made with good reason, but it must be discussed with staff before the second account is created.

Any username considered defamatory, racist, or otherwise rude will be changed without question. If this occurs, the user it belongs to will be informed of the change and warned.

Don't harass, abuse, or belittle others. Friendly teasing and banter is perfectly fine as long as all parties involved know that it shouldn't be taken seriously. Of course, if offense begins to be taken, then a line has been crossed.

Please keep avatars and signatures at reasonable sizes. If they're big enough to screw with the site layout, the staff can change them and inform the member of what has been done.

Have fun! It's what this place is all about, after all.

--Staff Interaction--

The staff will never ask you for your password, e-mail, or any other personal things that effect your account. We have no need for this, and if someone claiming to be staff asks for it, report them to us immediately.

Staff are here to help, and feel free to approach us with any questions or drop us a private message. Please don't be intimidated, we're members just like you guys!

That being said, please heed the word of the staff. If you are told to do something by a Moderator or Admin, do what they say. If you don't comply, then you'll be warned. Any further warning could result in a ban. This should seem obvious, but it's in the rules just to cement it in.

--Posting Rules--

Posts considered flame, spam, or otherwise inappropriate will be deleted without question and the member that posted it will be warned. This also includes excessive CAPS as well as a huge amount of cursing.

Text language, l33t speak, and short-handed words aren't quite tolerated in roleplay posts, excluding your character writing in that manner through something like text, but are tolerated in the ChatBox. We'd rather you don't type in them, though.

Do your best to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. We aren't super harsh about this, but it's greatly appreciated. We totally understand if English isn't your first language and you make some mistakes, but constant or glaring mistakes should be avoided. Proofreading is a great learning process, even in roleplay!

Stay on topic to whatever thread your posting in if it's not in the main roleplay section. Some off-topic chat is fine, but if the entire thread is curved toward a new subject, it's best to just make a new thread to discuss that topic.

--Roleplay Rules--

Stray from one-liners. We're excited to have roleplayers of different levels of experience, but there should be enough to work with to post much more than one liner. The occasional one is fine, but if it becomes excessive, we'd appreciate more content into your posts.

There is no godmodding, bunnying, etc. allowed. This includes writing out the actions of another member's character that's not your own, stating your action couldn't possibly be dodged or stopped, or implying an occurrence so much so that it lays on the border of controlling another character or action.

Respect the wishes of the roleplay thread's creator. If it is marked [Closed] or [Private], be sure to seek their permission to join before posting in it.

Out of character chat is okay in moderation, so long as it's relevant to what's happening in the thread. Please, however, don't overuse it. If the out of character talk is bigger than the roleplay talk, it's probably best left stated elsewhere. Be sure to make out of character typing clearly separable from the actual roleplay post.
